Food for Finals - Kicking Off Finals the Right Way

Food for Finals happens every semester the night before finals start. Co-hosted by CAB and campus services, students from all across the campus gather at the Pope Student Center late at night for free breakfast as a chance to wind down before finals start.

Diego Alvarado, a junior communication major said, "Food for Finals is a celebration to prepare for finals. It's a way to relax and get support from the faculty and staff here."

"This is my first time coming," said Aubrie Pankau, a student who will graduate this spring. "The food is great, and I have a chance to escape the stress at the end of the year right before my graduation."

According to CAB, Food for Finals lets students wind down and gives the College a chance to reward students for working so hard by giving them a free meal. The tutoring team is also available to help their peers and give study tips.

"It is my job to help people. We all know students tend to procrastinate, and tutoring gives me a chance to help those folks out too," said Baylee Stafford, a dual-enrolled student, and one of the tutors available during the event.

Another dual-enrolled tutor named Anna Hodges said, "This is the last chance for us to kick into gear before finals, and I am willing to help in any way I can."

Dalton State offers many resources to its students to help them succeed, and this semester's Food for Finals was a success.
